Quote from Albert Einstein "Imagination vs. Knowledge"

"Imagination is more important than Knowledge."

I think this quote means so much to me as a jewelry designer for so many reasons. I start off to make something using a blank table. I then add all the varieties of my beads, their shapes, sizes, color. cuts, etc. From there I develop my vision as to what I will create, what stones I will use, and a projection of what it will look like when I am done.

The knowledge is second. Do I know how to complete what I set out to do. That is where research either through my craft books or the internet steps in, or wonderful advice from my friends at 30 Minutes of FAME Forum.

So, I definitely use my imagination, filled in by my experience, and taken to the next level with knowledge from several factors.

I find this quote inspiring and hope you do also. Check out my ETSY Shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/Jodaycraf. I am running a 25% off August Back to School

Creative Block

Hi everyone,

I will be the first to admit that I have had a several months' creative block. I am hoping to break the creative block this week and create some new awesome jewelry.

I decided to bring my jewelry supplies (semi-precious stones, beads, and other findings) downstairs. I sorted the beads out last night by color. I am still stuck as far as what to make.

I have a Craft Room upstairs, however, I become most creative on the fold out card table parked in front of the TV. My husband can't understand it, but that's just the way my creative juices get flowing.

Stay tuned to my continuing saga.

Williamsburg, VA

I forgot to mention for those folks who may be going to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. If you go online at www.buschgardens.com and enter the Williamsburg, VA site, from there go to Begin Purchases/Out-of-state Visitor Tickets. You will see that you can pay $69.95 which will allow you to go to both Busch Gardens and Water Country USA for 7 days, even both parks on the same day. It is a great deal.

A Great Vacation

We went to Williamsburg, VA with my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. We had such a great time. We spent time at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, voted the top park in the US. We went to Water Country, USA, and we spent two days at the pool.

The best part was watching my 27-month old grandson, Joey, peeking around the corners looking for Nanny (me) and PopPop (my husband). It was great seeing him play in the water at the water park, swim in the pools, and being so well behaved even while we kept him on the run.

I think I enjoyed playtime with him at the condo as much as I enjoyed watching him at the parks.

All in all, a wonderful vacation, and we are all home safe and sound.
